so far so good, im loving this corona! :) it took 1:30 hrs to render, 150 passes, its a bit noisy but im still experimenting at this stage. the only post i did was in color correction and some glow in magic looks. what do you think guys? :)
-
Looks good. Why not let cook overnight and post update
-
I'll do more test soon and probably bake it a little longer. Oh by the way juraj, you are the reason i tried corona, fantastic work man. Im the same person who was asking questions at your facebook account.hehe Cheers!

Little bit noise but the lightning is awesome. Do you have any advice regarding the corona render parameters? I am also thinking to try corona for my next interior. One more thing, do you create your own lightning system in corona or you convert it from vray?
All the best

You should always do it from scratch. Conversions are not always reliable ;)

Thanks Rawalanche,
I am exploring your forum so I can understand corona as much as possible :).
-
I use the conversion tool but always check if the materials are correct and adjust if i have to. Well, as for the lighting its pretty simple, i just use one hdri lighting and thats it, and as for the settings ive touched nothing. I just cooked it for 150 passes, thats why im loving this corona, its very easy to attain such great result, im sure gonna buy this on the final version. :)

here's another shot, rendered about 2 and a half hours. :)
-
great lighting and material settings.. i like how your metallic materials.
-
Those 2.5 hours were surely well spent!
-
Thanks everyone. Yes indeed, coron is pretty fast for a unbiased renderer. :)
-
was the center rug done with hair n fur in 3ds max? how did u achieve this pls?
-
Yes its hair and fur my friends, just use geometry instead of mr prim mode.
-
Yeah, hair and fur in geometry mode was implemented some time ago but I haven't seen any tests in a while.
-
Love it. Materials are awesome. I love the depth of the renders achieved by corona.
-
Did you do any image enhancements post render?
-
yup, just the usual adjustements like contrast, color balance and a little diffuse glow and thats it. :)
-
Awesome light... what did you use?!
Love the rug, i should try hair and fur plugin!
-
its lit with just one hdri. thanks mate! :)
