Out of words.
Glad to see some new stuff from you, Jesus!
As always outstanding!
-
This is a level beyond most stuff I've seen lately.
A question: Have you tried the ThinFilm plugin to get some subtle rainbow hue to those welds/chrome shaders?
-
Awesome stuff. I want to rub my index finger back and forth over that wood grain.
-
Wow, this is incredible work. That lemonade is amazing.
One criticism. I think the scratches on some of the metal pieces could benefit from being toned down quite a bit, the ones that really stand out to me are the oven and the tap. it looks like someone took some steel wool and had a hay day.
-
No need to make new nicknames Bertrand...
(top work)
-
Dirt here looks so nice. Is that careful projection/procedural(AO) or did you do unwrapping too ? Which approach is more dominant overall here ?
Oh, nice glare too :- )

-
@shadowman- thank you ! im glady someone still remebers my name hehehe .
@ iLEZ- thanks! im now only using max and corona as the only plugin, i have not tried that i think adding that kind of effect will make it look good, i will try to find it and see if i can add to the scene.
@ dubcat- thanks!
@mferster- thanks im looking into that ill try to lower the layer of some the dirty effects for the final renders.
@Juraj_Talcik- thank you !- im not using any AO just textures, the texture of that wall is all hand painted to create all those little dirty effects bumps ect.

here is the texture in photoshop

Masterly ;)
-
you superdetailed everything insanely. dirts, reflections, lighting,
makes me speechless!
would you like to share a little about lighting method in first product shot - chair? and chrome material setup if you don't mind =)
-
OMFG!!!!!
-
These have an insane level of detail in modeling, lighting and materials!!
Really incredible job, great work man!
-
Amazing amount of details in your work - I simply love it! Pure render-porn :)
-
The king is back!
Congrats master
G.
-
Those details are insane. Perfect. If that's a WIP, I'm not sure if I want to see the final pictures at all. It could be humiliating. ;)
-
Congratulation!
Good light, textures, and material are perfect!!!
Regards
-
Oh, oh oh... that's a surprise. The good, old Zuliban =)
As a V-Ray master, what do you think about Corona?
-
I thought I had to wipe my monitor, seems to be not.
Well done!
-
Well done, all those tiny details made the work looks amazing! Congrats!
-
Great work master!
Finally an archviz scene that we can say... this is art!
Your perception for colors and details are from another world.
-
Very impressive work. Master level for sure.
Congratulations.
Raph
-
Best work of the year ;)
-
Damn, you have too much time on your hands. This is amazing.
-
Oh la vache !!!
Sorry, i was so amazed i can only react in french ;-)
-
Great to see work from you again :) Lovely details in the materials as usual . Cant wait to see it finished
-
speechless
I imagine the hours of work .... ..perfect perfect...
do you use any program to speed up textures like substance-painter ?
exemple video
-
God is here...
-
hello thank you very much ! hope to finish the scene in time.
@noel20 - most of the models are light with hdri and some corona lights most of the hdri are free hdri from the web and in some render i just disable the enviroment .
for the chrome here is a screencap from the chair mats. mostly i just remove the ior from 1.5 to any high level if the chrome looks ''heavy'' i just lower the reflection.
@cecofuli -hellow yes there are small but noticiable details from both renders at the end both are good! but for me corona glass is alot better and more correct if i add for example a blurry map in reflections it makes refractions changes the highlights reflections in the scene are better and the depth and in some cases vray glasses when they are near each other become blacker and in corna stay transparent, another thing i fond is the AA corona is better and it retains the HDR informacion when you use highlight compression while vray destoys it another one is the more complex the scene becomes the faster corona renders vs vray speed and you can have DOF in corona and still is faster.
one detail i still dont like too much in corona is its value in glossy sometimes is hard to add small glossy details in glass becase you need the map to almost look white.
@- pmcf1981 yes im using sustance painter some photoshop and zbrush all the modeling is done in max and zbrush
-
Wow, Zuliban is back!
Great job as always. Congratulations!
-
Never heard that name before, but now i'm curious to see what i've missed :]
-
No way this dude is back! We're all in a pickle! ))
-
Return of the king hehe, welcome back. Great renders :)
-
This is so awesome :)
Totally blown away from my screen haha.
-
No words! OMFG, as said before ahah
-
No words to say , super work i'm just speechless
-
Thank you Jesus for all your inspirational renders!
I'm your biggest fan, as many years ago you inspired me to learn VRay, and now i'm happy I chose the right tools to master my skills.
-
Textures, lighting and your attention to detail are godly :O
-
holy $#i*! ...who is this guy? is he human? are you from around here,....mars probably? is this corona 1.3 or 5.0??? i need to know you so Pls give us a link to your website or blog etc. thanks. Godlike works
-
Hi, thank you very much for all the nice comments makes me inspired to finish the scene.
yagi- i only have my website but it is unfinished www.zuliban.com
-
Great work. I am suspecting you texture in Zbrush, export to Photoshop for further refining and detailing? Yeah, handpainting textures is a better approach to creating photorealism imo bc you can create what you want, how you want it and gives you control over specific requirements when it comes to materials and lighting (in some cases). Really digging the materials, attention to details, and modeling/sculpting.
-
Great job!!!
-
Realy nice mats. In some cases exagerated bump but anyway great work.

people would pay a lot of money for a video tutorial series on your approach to creating advanced materials. Very impressive, like mind-blowing at times.
Super impressive work dude, materials are amazing, but also a lot of composition choices, light balance and glare.. it all looks stunning.
Anyway, a texture and shader breakdown of some of those objects would be super interesting <3
-
snakebox thank you ! i will probably do a making of after i finish the scene and maybe sell the whole scene in turbosquid , but 1st i need to finish it.
im adding a bunch more of wips from the scene .

Nice renders!
Congratulation!!!
-
hi Zulliban, for images in your last post, did you use postpro? and did you have that scenes in vray? if you did, it would be nice if you post the vray renders too.
again, thank you for that cool works.. so inspiring us.
-
Really nice renders but I guess there's quite a lot of post production involved, like Looks?
-
perfect job!
The carpet also looks awsome, is it forest or maps?
-
noel20 - yes i use postproduction im still trying to find the correct colors i want for the overall scene and i dont have this scene in vray but i have tested it in vray too to see if there is any diference
the only thing im worried is extreme dof in corona the bokeh noise is never gone , but i hope the 1.4 fix this.
MartinBrinks- yes there is postproduction i dont use looks i use nuke
yanislachat- the carpet is just bump map nothing fancy but is one of the hardest shaders in the scene i took me alot ot get it ''right'' but i think the final scene wont have a carpet
-
the only thing im worried is extreme dof in corona the bokeh noise is never gone , but i hope the 1.4 fix this.
yes noise in extreme dof is a bit annoying, but in my experience I only got normal noise not like yours in second eyeglass image, it seems that the scene just need a more time to render.
but anyway, adaptive + denoiser in 1.4 should be good enough to handle that creepy noise. :)
-

You should try the newest builds with adaptivity and denoising!

snakebox thank you ! i will probably do a making of after i finish the scene and maybe sell the whole scene in turbosquid , but 1st i need to finish it.
So you want to be a millionaire? naa, just kidding ;-)
I would definitely by it, because of pure awesomeness!

Holy corona, Zuliban is back baby !
You know you will have a nuclear mindblowing feeling soon when this man shows the final masterpiece !
-
I can boldly say that I grew up on their work. :) I miss even the artist OMAR ...
Nice to see you again ..
-
Really amazing work!!
congrats for the result!
-
Absolutely incredible levels of detail! I'm curious why you use Nuke for your post processing? I don't know much about it - any particular advantages over photoshop / lightroom e.t.c? What sort of post processing workflow do you use, 32 bit exr's I assume?
-
Hi, photoshop is limited in options for 32 bits and nuke has good post production addons

I love that you use nuke, I have done this before too and I would love to always do this. I personally find that quick painting masks and using things like a wirecolor pass is just a lot faster to do in PS. Mind sharing some work flow info on how you use nuke? or do you not actually alter your shot that much in post, other than grading / colour?
thanks! love your work
-
i changed alot my workflow i used just to finish my render and change it a bit in photoshop for small glares and color correction, but now a days my scene is rendered in a very neutral light not too bright not too dark not burned and no contrast save as 32bit and do all of the constrast color and tone correction in nuke i feel i have more tools. i wish renders like corona could have a correct camera tone response and physically correct glares and flares it could save me a lot of steps.

We have it internally, it will be released a week or two after 1.4 in daily builds

I'm curious, when you say tools, do you mean nuke/nukeX defaults? or are you talking about addons for nuke? if addons mind letting me know which ones you use? Like I love nuke as a tool and workflow, I just find hard it hard to justify due to quick turn arounds, tweaks and fixes that often happen last minute with renders these days.
-
For anyone looking for a free colour correct/grading tool in Nuke!
I found this:

LUE for nuke

It's flat out amazing!

hi snakebox sorry that i did not answer, the addons im using the most is baselight and bokeh by peregrine labs

Holy sh*t, I didn't even need to read your forums name to know it was Zuli, it's got such a strong familiar vibe to it. It's really nice to see your work, it's been a really long time. Welcome back!

amazing work! congrats!some of the most realistic stuff i have ever seen, everything with attention to detail and the imperfections really show off each object, would love to see the setup for this scene, if ever you get time in future please share! also how does nuke stand up to fusion for pp? i am looking into node editing for 32 bit images more and more but its hard to make a choice based on ease of use and price

I think it's also worth taking into count what you want to do with it later. Fusion is certainly still used, specially in Europe, but Nuke has slowly become a standard many industries including television and vfx, but for good reasons. And it's often less about what the tool can do directly thought nuke is amazing, but honestly you can do the same in fusion, and they work veeeery similarly. How ever if you don't know either of them, I find it hard to argue why you should pick up fusion over nuke, simply because nuke you can take anywhere, and it connects perfectly to things like deadline etc.
It's a bit like someone getting into 3d sculpting, as great as a tool mudbox is, and yes its actually easier to do certain things... if you want to make yourself a favor in the long time, just learn Zbrush and deal with it. It opens up so many more doors down the track.
That said.. fusion is free for learning, and I think its the full fusion you get access to, where I think Nuke's trial is limited to the point where its nearly pointless.
Anyway just my thoughts and experience.
-
Jeez, I would love to get some insight of your postpro, gotta love that cinematic look and
you realy nailed it, great job keep at it!
-
Outrageous. Don't show me final scene. I can't handle it.
-
Very nice shaders work !!!
-
Hi, photoshop is limited in options for 32 bits and nuke has good post production addons
I can ask you what is your workflow to make postproduction?
you do post-production with the Corona vfb and then saved in exr and then worked in Nuke? because I saw that if you save with light mix, the image is clamped.
thank you so much

I can't speak for Zuli, but to get full value out of nukes tools, you need to output in a linear 32bit format, so all your corona framebuffer settings has to be 1.0 or default, no clamping etc etc. all the stuff you would do in the framebuffer, you do in nuke instead + more.

This topic is named "trying".....are you kidding me? trying....ahahaha, the level of detail and dedication is amazing, i am pretty sure you live on another planet where day has 48 hrs or something.Congratulations
