Hi
this is what i get when i use high displacement values (here 50cm)

Tried tweaking Projected size and Max subdiv per poly but to no significant effect

What does your displacement map look like? What resolution?

This is pretty strange. Im trying to solve this for a couple of days now. I use corona for my own project and wanted to render it all in corona. But I was stuck because of those displacement bugs. However when I want to recreate this bug right now, the thing does not occur. Very weird...
But I'm at work right now and using different computer (but the same files). When I get back home I'll render few frames to confirm this strange issue.
Im using high res 4k and 8k maps for displacement

Is your displacement image 8-bit?

Im using 32bit 4k maps.
this is rendered with settings: Proj Size 2 ; Max Subdv pp 100

This is when camera is pretty close to the surface. And tweaking below 0,5 (proj size) and above 200 (max subdiv) is not cost-efficient and actually no improvement. In mental I can tweak this easily in global settings

Doesn't your displacement map have a narrow tonal width? Can you show it?

Max14? Nie mogę tego otworzyć. Zapisz do 13 albo pokaż screeny. U mnie renderuje się raczej normalnie. Jak robisz displacement?

Max14? Can't open it. Resave to 13 or show some screens. The map you attached renders ok for me. How do you apply displacement?

juz zapisalem w 2011 (w zalaczniku), powinno dzialac w 2013. Displace robie na samym materiale. Wrzucam to samo co w diffuse, tylko ze na 50 (cm).

reseved for 2011 (attachment), should be working in 2013. I use the same map for diffuse and displacement, dont change settings, just 50 (cm) on displacement channel

made render animation with displacement. Almost same maps and settings. You can see the flickering and stepping noise.

your displacement texture is NOT 32bit, but only 8bit. The discretization is causing your problems, use for example 16bit/channel PNG to get a better result
BTW: There was also some probably unrelated bug in displacement in this scene, I've fixed it.
