Post by: yanislachat on 2016-03-16, 17:59:57
hello,
I am making a animation with a lot of vegetation but it crashes all the time..
I use forest pro and the scene is not espacially heavy, I use to handle this kind of scene quite easily in vray...

anyone can help?
where should I optimise??

thanks

"Crashes all the time" is not much information to work with.
When does it crash?
Error messages?
Does UHD if used finish?
Checked Ram usage?

Do you additionally use Laubwerk trees, scattered by forest pro?

Good Luck

Maybe it's the old "having object selected" problem? Can you try making sure that you do not have any object selected, and then rendering?

"having object selected" problem? [...]

You mean having a Laubwerk object selected? Yes - or something similar. Another reason why I asked is: I have a scene here which crashes also all the time and it´s already simplified down to a few (by forest pro) scattered trees. And my workmate scattered ... Laubwerk objects what usually works perfectly.

So I don´t know who to blame at the moment :)

- Autodesk
- Itoo
- Laubwerk
- Render Legion
- Myself for always using lates Beta(s) and Dailies all the time

Maybe I pull a ticket for this. It´s a miracle that all those components work together anyway.

Good Luck

The problem of Laubwerk plugin freezing 3ds Max has been recently solved by Laubwerk developers. Please see the following report for more details:
https://corona-renderer.com/bugs/view.php?id=1144

You can download and test the newest beta version of the Laubwerk plugin using the link below, however keep in mind that any problems or bug reports should be sent to Laubwerk, not to us:
