Title: Distributed rendering
Post by: klipanos on 2016-03-09, 17:42:30
Hi, I want to connect to pc's to render mostly still renders.
-Do I have to make the connection with backburner?
-If I'll make a local connection and enable the distributed rendering from render setup menu and enable the search LAN button will it found the second computer?
- Is there any tutorial for distributed rendering with corona?
Thank you!! Is very important!!!!

Yes if they are on the same network.

Have not seen but there is a lot of explanation here on the forum

You don't have to corona will do it itself just make shure that the dr server is runing on the slave PC and Slave pc have acses to the folder (network drive) you are using for the rendering.

PS - don't forget to swith regular file locations to UNC file locations in the asset tracking section fo 3dsMAX

No video tutorial yet (I guess it would be very hard to do anyway :) ), but check out this guide:

After one million tries I can't resolve this matter...I made the connection I find the slave pc its faster about 25%, I made a network drive I can access it from slave  but I have problem with the asset tracking... it cant find the textures, I made the change to UNC but still can't find the textures.... Anyone with same problem?
Thank's!!
