As much as I'd like to say it looks good, it doesn't really :D

It looks more like floating foam. You should lower the absorption distance to get at least some definition into the clouds, but even then, I am not sure such workflow would be best choice for aerial clouds. I threw together a simple quick scene of a workflow I would use if i was doing aerial view. It creates some artifacts when faces overlap, but it should be usable at least for stills:

Thank you, Ludvik. I gave it a try with your clouds and it looks better indeed after some tweaking. In my opinion the only problem about this specific type of workflow is the noise pattern is harder to control to get specific "hole" through clouds.
In this line of thoughts it would really be helpful to get vraydistancetexture implementation in Corona, and use a specific noisy volume to control the opening in clouds.

Just so you know, VrayDitanceTex actually works with Corona. If you have Vray, you can try it by yourself.
