Title: Old Renderings Redone with Corona
Post by: goose1982 on 2013-06-25, 15:45:38
Hi everybody, my name is Michael, currently working and living in Vienna, Austria.  I got my hands on Corona a couple of days ago and did my first test with an old scene and i have to say that i simply LOVE the way Corona works!!! Also big Thanks for the great Vray - Corona Converter script, never saw a script work that good!

Here are a couple of testrenderings i did in one day, rendertime was about 1 - 2 h per picture in 2000*2500 with PT 16 + HD 1024

Very nice just outside should be more bright matching the light on the frame of the window more or less.
Anyway nice job!

sorry guys for not getting back to you earlier, was a little bit busy last days.

glad you like those images, and thanks for your input about the outside of the window, i will give that a try!

@DeadClown: thanks again for your work, it always puts a big smiley on my face when i convert a scene from vray to corona

i would love to ask you all a little question...
Does anyone now if there is a method to rounden up edges based on a material( in vray you can do it with an edgetex map in the bump slot)

wish you all a nice day and best regards

Michael

There is a rounded corners option in the advanced options section of the Corona material.

Nice renders by the way :)

Great renders goose, I am really impressed.
I have only one question, did you use HDRI or corona daylight system? I am still in the process of switching from vray to corona and I am trying to understand the basic workflow.
