Hi, I just started setting up everything for DR, but run into a problem (or few). I have two computers setup and I have 3 striped resault. Gamma is set to 2.2 on both. Any idea?

Hi Hrvoje, right now I can only guess, but it could be due to:
-missing assets (textures) - are you getting any error messages or warnings from Corona?
-wrong gamma in some other place
Are you sure you are using exactly this setup on all of the PCs?

Please take a look at "4. Changing input and output gamma in post-2014 3Ds Max versions" at the end of the article!
-maybe you simply need to wait a bit more time for the pixels to update?
Have you already reported this at support? https://coronarenderer.freshdesk.com/support/tickets/new

Hi Maru,
thanks for quick reply. Some textures are missing, but nothing crucial. I will check the gamma again and get back to you.
Thanks,
Hrvoje

If some are missing on one machine and not another, this happens alot. Make sure the textures use a UNC path location. When i forget to do UNC this is the problem I get.

There is one more factor that might be in play.
It nearly killed me back im the day, when working with Vray Dr and backburner server.
The obvious - the texture folders need to be shared, but also have to have read permissions assigned to them. Under right click - properties - security it can be assigned to "Everyone" on the network with read or read and write permissions.
The not so obvious is who actually started the server.
If it's a SERVICE you installed it will NEVER be installed as your user, unless you specify it to do so. If you manually setup a vray Dr service, backburner service, it will either start with "System" rights or "local service" user, not your username. Which may and will cutoff the renderservice from access to the textures, even if defined for everyone, since system rights are being defined extra.
Checking in task manager who actually runs the server might be a thing.
It is probably unrelated, but it killed me until I found out.

Thanks for heads up, it was missing textures issue, so all good now.
