Title: Scatter breaks group?
Post by: Aldoren on 2015-12-29, 21:39:41
Hi

I have a question regarding corona scatter, or perhaps this is true for any scattering software?

Anyway. I have a archmodel tree that is grouped into a single model. Scattering this breaks it apart so my question is, how do i handle the tree model to make it scatter as an object?

Hi, AFAIK you scatter objects only - a group is not an object.
There are several ways to overcome this, for example:
-convert the whole group to editable poly, then attach everything toghether - you will get a single object; don't forget to leave material IDs as they are
-export the whole group to Corona Proxy, then scatter it. You would also need a material which would work with the proxy.
