Is there a parameter, that starts the DrServer in the background without GUI? The only parameter shown with -help is -verbose.
I have multiple Laptops (contributing 1,3m rays/s) in use by others and it's kinda annoying, that autostarting DrServer results in the GUI popping up.
Is there an undocumented parameter? Will "start DrServer /B" (cmd command for guiless start) result in abnormal behaviour?
Either way, a parameter for Background server should be included.

you mean you want no UI for 3dsmax, or for the server itself? Because 3dsmax will always pop out.

Server itself

Speaking of which... is there a way to "precache" 3dsmax?
When starting DR. my nodes are on crappy HDDs. It takes almost a minute to startup max on even small scenes. Doesnt matter once I push it to backbruner, but on Dr, not final render, its kinda aweful.

You could run it as windows service. No popups and remote controlable like all other services.
Good luck!
Edit: Does not affect loading times of course.

Awesome stuff. Ondra, sticky that stuff!
It keeps DrServer and 3dsmax hidden as service, no GUI, all awesome. Just have to reassign User from system to user so corona does not bitch about missing licence.

Sticky'd. But it's still unofficial. ;)
