Title: Displacement filtering issue
Post by: romullus on 2015-12-20, 14:02:10
Build dec 17

Not sure if it's bug or something else, but it seems impossible to enable displacement filtering. If one enables it via config file, it works only for first render. All subsequent renderings are going without displacement filtering. Reset render settings does enable filtering for one time and then it gets disabled again.

I mean config-xxxxxx.conf file.

Just tested string options and it works. It's only config file that somehow gets overriden.

BTW, why filtering is disabled by default? I did quick comparison and didn't found any difference in terms of calculation speed and RAM consumption between filtered and unfiltered displacement.

BTW.2, when filtering is disabled, mesh subdivision is still affected by texmap filtering, but displacement is not. Should i report it as separate bug?

Please do it. I remember having troubles with displacement + filtering too.
