Title: Problem with refraction's and Camera Depth Blur in Corona
Post by: denisgo22 on 2015-12-19, 22:18:40
In last few renders with extreme DOF, I noticed incorrect behavior Depth of Field with refraction's in Corona. Refraction's of objects as well as reflections on objects
It should also be in blur with DOF, regardless in which a depth of the scene a refracted object located///
Here is some screen shorts of this problem////

If such a phenomenon wouldn't exist, there wouldn't be cameras, telescopes and similar stuff. This "bug" was reported and discussed numerous times and conclusion is always the same - Corona does it right, users do not observe real world well enough ;]

Thanks for answer///It's looks very strange...
I'll try to find this effect in the real world:)

If you wearing glasses or contact lenses, then look no further. Human eye can't focus at such close distance, yet rays that goes through those lenses are perfectly (at least it should be) focused.

This about human eye's////
And micron distance from eye to lens///
But render a must pass through the optics of the photographic camera....
what happens in this case?///
but if from a scientific point of view all correct, it's okay///
I will try to find examples of photographic close up's for this situation///
in any case, thanks for the reply...

may be this not very good examples
but to my regret, I nowhere not found effect
you are talking about///

Actualy the thing is hard to replicate. There must be distance eaqual to the f-point distance to the reflected objekt from camera to achive this.

Try this:

-take camera

- point it to the mirror

- and ajust fpoint till you geat clear reflection like this.

here perfect example of this scenario.

What you're showing is reflection and denisgo22 talking about refraction. I tried to google for examples too, but it's really hard to find something decent, so i decided to make my own. I took a picture of some stuff through defocused lens. Here's result.
