Title: elevation / facade rendering with environment reflection
Post by: erva on 2015-11-30, 10:12:20
Is there a way to render a buildings elevation/facade in ortho mode, so the reflections work correctly? I know that corona supports standard free camera in ortho mode or direct render from front/left view. But as i try to render this way, the spherical hdri is either out of proportion or blurred. Only workaround i came up with is putting a plane with an image in front of the view, and setting its object properties to not cast shadows and not to be visible to camera.

looking forward to some of your experience

Can you show examples? I don't see any problem here.

Ok, I think I get it. It happens on flat surfaces. But it's correct.
One solution would be to use reflections override with the reflected image set to "texture" mapping. Depending on the results you are seeking...

Wonder if very distant camera with very long focal length would solve that? Can't test it right now.
