Why is my Corona Sun so dim. When I render the scene the sun is real dim. The tutorials are rather misleading a they do no include the same type of sun that I have. The learn curve for this program is much higher than I expected.
-
Corona Sun is based on a physical model so we should all be getting the same intensity at given sun position. Moreover, most users find the sun too bright after creating it for the first time as exposure value is set to 0 by default. Exposure settings might also be the culprit in your case. Please go to render setup > scene and check what values you have in your exposure settings.
-
Have you checked your exposure? are you using simple EV or photographic?
Do you have a corona sky in the environment map as well?
-
I am using the latest addition of Corona. I bought a subscription less than a week ago. The EV value is zero. I am not using photographic exposure. Thanks

Can you show the rendering of what you are getting? Maybe it would help.
-
I have attached screen shoots of the model and render. The render is black
-
Where's your camera located? In a room with no windows? ;]
Maybe for sunlight it's too hard to reach a camera. You could try to increase exposure untill picture becomes brighter, but i suspect there can be more serious problems in your scene.
-
I don't have ay cameras yet
-
Then you can't be sure that your view isn't stuck in a middle of a wall or other obstacle where light simply cannot reach. Create a camera, properly locate it in an open space and render through it to see if it helps with your exposure problems.

3 very stupid questions.
1 - why you placed sun at 90 degres?
2 - Why not to place working point camera?
3 - have you switched on corona sky to the enviroment slot?
