Has the bump strength value in the maps rollout changed in 1.3? In previous builds it seemed to operate between 0-1, but when I upgraded to 1.3, many of materials now show values like 4.2, etc.

Bump strength was changed in v1.2
Between v1.2 and v1.3 should be no difference.
-
I don't recall it being 0-1. Probably not after 1.2.
-
Yeah sorry, I was coming from 1.1. Is there documentation somewhere detailing the change?

Here's changelog: https://forum.corona-renderer.com/index.php/topic,7238.msg57801.html#msg57801
Bump strength was reduced by 4.

perfect, thanks!

Was there a comparison chart somewhere about the strength of bump values? Or a general rule of thumb or something? I was used to using the MR 0-1 scale, never VRay's, so I can't tell if the values I use are appropriate compared to what I was used to in MR.
-
Hi Stein. In my experience, the bump values for mr vs. corona was close to 1:1 before the change. Meaning that 0,1 in mr approximately equaled 0,1 in Corona. Now after the change, I think that 0,1 in mr approximately equals 0,4 in Corona.
I don't know if this is changed in the material converter - haven't tested it.

Nope, probably not, only for Vray stuff right now. I'll put it on the list :)

is there any reason why this change from 0-1 to 0-4 has been done? Seems unnecessary.
