I installed 1.3 and was just checking out new corona layered material.. not sure if i am doing anything wrong.. but nun of the layered materials can been seen in view port or even their masks.. with show shaded material button on.. Any input on this? thanks..
-
I gues that only the base material could be shown at the wivport as long as there is no swich as in default blend mtl

This is known: https://forum.corona-renderer.com/index.php/topic,9859.0.html

okie.. got it.. thanks.. kinda hard to do uvw channel mapping unless u have IR running..
Is there any way to disable error message window? kinda annoying :/
Thanks :)

Error messages - you can just press the "ignore similar" button.
Show map in viewport - you can clone the material into an empty slot and then assign this material to the object.

I was able to completely suppress CEM window, but decided not to go this way - it is better to fix all errors and warnings in a scene than suffer from some serious performance problems in fullish bliss :] But i agree that sometimes CEM window can be really annoying, i hope that in the future devs will find a way to make this thing less intrusional.

Quick idea: nesting the error messages inside a tab in CVFB.
-
I'd like to see this implemented, but there is some catch.
- there is not so much space, especially horizontaly, so it could be very crowded and inconvenient to read.
- what if tools in VFB is closed? Errors would slip unnoticed.
-
let's continue with the brainstorm...
it could be an icon which gets highlighted if an error/warning is detected, the window pops up only if you click that icon
-
That could work. Don't forget to register your idea on mantis - i'm pretty sure many would welcome such an improvement :]
-
ok, but let's continue with the brainstorm here :)
I can already see one drawback of the "button" version: some users could not notice it (unless it's very apparent) and ignore the error. Having a huge error message jump into your face could save some support nerves. ;)
-
Just give a check box user system tab which says show/hide error message box :)

Nope. As Romullus mentioned, the errors cannot go unnoticed.

What if i want to ignore all errors? It should be up to users if they want error box visible or not :)
Lets see i have few assets in scene which are missing maps.. and that asset is off camera.. so i dont care about those missing maps.. in this case why would i wanna see error box?

Sure, and let the devs devote all their time and energy to solving all those false bug reportings in forum ;]

You can tell to Corona what type of mesages should be ignored.

Currently you can press "ignore similar errors", and I had an idea with a button which informs about them.

any layered mtl submap can now be displayed in viewport
