Got some 5995wx Threadrippers running and i'm seeing strange behavior.
These monsters use a very intelligent Turbo mode, in single threaded tasks they OC from 2.7 to 4.7 Ghz on a single core, while in multi-threaded tasks they will push all the cores to 4.0Ghz (Prime95).
Now, i get it that rendering isn't a strict number crunching like torture tests and there are some "downtimes" like load/unload and refresh, but still ...

Then these bad boys pick up a rendering job they only OC themselves to 3.3Ghz on all cores. Plus the task manager shows a seesaw of CPU load instead of 100% load. Seems less than optimal considering what that CPU is capable of.

There could be several reasons why your Threadrippers are not performing optimally while rendering. It could be due to Thermal limitations. The CPU clock speed might be reduced due to high temp. You can try optimizing cooling. You should also consider updating your BIOS and ensure it is set for maximum performance. There could be a stability issue, try using some benchmarks and at last I hope you are using the latest version of Corona when rendering.
