Hi,

I'm test rendering a simple scene where I have used a full glossy material and then a fine detailed paper texture in the bump channel. First off, it feels like the bump channel renders differently from the latest Daily build in December.. it's like the render "starts blurry" and gets clearer and clearer (the bump details)? Maybe it has been like this all the time, but it feel very apparent right now in ver3.. I don't like it this way, I'd prefer to see the details instantly with a noise that becomes clearer instead.

In attached screenshot, my bump is very sharp in some places and some places look smudgy.. if I move my camera, then the smudgy areas becomes clearer and other areas become smudged instead. I've let it render in the background to 1250 passes right now, but it still looks smudged. What is happening here?

Hi, do you have fast IR denoiser (a.k.a. NVidia optix denoiser) turned off?

Nope, Fast IR Denoiser was ON. Turning it OFF solved it, now I see the details directly again. Many thanks! :)
