Hey guys, is corona able to render .vdb files loaded with c4d´s Volumeloader object ? Which material to use ?

No, it's not able to render them sorry - it will need the CoronaVolumeGrid, which will be Corona's own loader for OpenVDB, you can check the tentative roadmap for plans on when that will be included: https://trello.com/b/dgI8vjDb/corona-tentative-road-map-cinema-4d

It's sadly been taking off the V6 roadmap into pool of ideas, even though it's a very prominent and "standardish* feature

Hi Nejc, you're welcome! Downsides I've noticed would be trying to recall all the fine details in the object. So decreasing the voxel can make your scene slow/halt whilst it's computing. To be honest, I haven't done a lot of testing so far so I'm sure there's either more downsides or even better workarounds to come. :)

Cool. Makes me wanna render clouds inside living rooms. Not such a new idea ? :)))))))))))
