Hi,

It seems that using the "Save selected objects as..." command located in Object Manager > File is saving materials incorrectly: in the saved scene their custom values are restored to the default ones. I've tested the command with two other render engines and it does not happen.

Can you confirm the issue ?

Hi there, can you please try this again with the latest daily build? I just tried to replicate this and could not. It opened just as it was saved.

Hi Bengamin,

I'm a bit reluctant to install a dailybuild on my production computer. Would I be able to go back to Corona 11 afterward?

Did you test it with the same C4D and Corona versions as me ?

Hi John, you should be able to go back if needed provided no new scenes are using features that will not be present in older versions of Corona. What C4D version are you using?

Ok, I'll try if I have the time but I don't have much hope. The problem is happening on macOS too, where I'm using 2024.2.0 + Corona 11H1 :


Are you sure that the materials values were the same on your side in the saved .c4d file?

I've just installed the latest dailybuild. I still have the issue.

Also if the material is a layered material, children materials are not saved.
