light leak in corona 1.5.2

<< < (2/5) > >>

Ludvik Koutny:
This could be case of scene being created in Corona 1.5 which had UHD settings bug, and settings not being reset after application of 1.5.2 hotfix.

Alternatively, there is still some issue with how corona handles reflective caustics with UHDcache... but for some reason, it's has very low priority.

Dionysios.TS:
Yes, maybe is the bug mentioned before. Try to reset settings and see if it still happens.

BTW, two days ago I started a new scene with the latest 1.6 build and I found again the UHD cache value at 0.4... Should always be set to 1.0

--- Quote from: romullus on 2016-12-10, 14:54:06 ---Was this scene created with Corona 1.5 version? Can you try to reset settings (either by temporary switching renderer to scanline and then back to Corona or by pressing dedicated button in render setup>scene>general settings) and see if that solves the problem.

If that doesn't helps, could you attach problematic scene here, so somebody could take a look at it?

Thanks for your enthusiastic, the attach is the scene which is created by 3dmax 2014 and renderer is corona 1.5.2.
I had try to solve tihs proboem for several days.

Ludvik Koutny:
Yes, exactly as we suspected, you saved scene in a bugged corona version that had corrupted UHD cache settings. Resetting render settings makes the problem a lot less obvious. But it is still there, which reflects second sentence I wrote - Corona has some problems with the way UHDcache handles reflective caustics, resulting in splotches.

Attaching render of scene with render settings reset:

Ludvik Koutny:
I've reported the bug. Let's hope it will be handled soon: https://corona-renderer.com/bugs/view.php?id=2382
