Hi guys!

I noticed a problem today, I'm getting slightly different results between interactive render and final render. I thought the problem was Corona 11 so I rolled back to 10, but the problem is still there.
I'm having this issue with every scene.

Update, this issue is in Cinema4d 2023. I've tried with the R23 and there aren't problems

Are you using some custom color management settings? This looks like gamma 1.0 vs 2.2.

I don't even know where this setting is lol. Yesterday everything was fine, now it's broken

Hi there,
As mentioned before, this looks like you're using different gamma settings.
Could you please make sure you're using the Linear workflow option and basic color management?
You can find these settings if you press Ctrl + D on your keyboard (use Cmd key if you're using MacOS) as this will open the "Project settings" in the "Attributes" panel (under the "Object manager" panel).
Then, open the Color Management section and double-check if the Linear Workflow is enabled or not (if it's disabled, then enable it)
Additionally, for the color management, set it to use "Basic" instead of "OpenColorIO", and lastly, make sure the "Input color profile" is set to "sRGB"
These are the default settings for C4D.
I hope this helps.
Try again and let us know if the issue persists.
Kind regards.

Hi Benjamin,
the color settings are already set like you mentioned, I've never touched the default ones.
The problem is happening only with the interactive viewport. If I use the interactive rendering (the windowed one) I see everything correctly.

Is ACES OT enable in the VFB and disabled in the camera tag or vise versa?

Hi Bengamin.
In the camera tag Aces output transformation is disabled, in the vfb too.
Btw this problem is not happening in the vfb, only in the interactive render viewport

Hi there,
Thanks for the update.
I think I finally understood the inquiry.
I was a little confused because you mentioned you were using the Interactive Rendering feature (which runs in the VFB), but if I understood correctly, you're using the Interactive Viewport feature instead.
Then, if color management settings are set to default, could you please make sure the viewport is using them?
Please go to the Viewport's menu "Options" and make sure the "Linear Workflow shading" is enabled there.
I hope this helps.
Let me know the outcome.
Cheers.

Man, this was the problem... You saved me lol.
Still I wonder how I activated the linear thing in the viewport.

Thanks again👏👏👏

I was going to say that when I've seen this in the past, it was always with an older scene and older version of Corona. All I did was select EVERYTHING in the scene and paste them into a fresh scene. Boom. Back to normal. Maybe what was happening is that Viewport setting in a new scene has a different setting by default. Not sure, but it works.
