1.when I create the CTexmap Render Element, to get the clear map channel, without affect light and reflections. By default, the field for 3D objects is in "Exclude" mode.

Which personally seems illogical to me, because I want to get the map for the object I need, therefore, I need the Include mode. I need to do an extra step every time and switch Exclude to Include mode.
When I need to do many Elements at once. where for a one object there will be one map corresponding, this is rather tedious.

Don't you think that the default should be the Include mode?

2. The second headache is related to the fact that when I want to make a mask for an object that has links and add only one object to the mask slot, the mask is created for all objects linked to it.
To create individual masks, I have to destroy links in my scene.
Is it possible to make the links not affect the masks? (Or if this option someone needs to make the appropriate checkmark?)

i use 3dsmax 2023.1, Corona 9, win10

Hello. I want to make material for these hubs. And I asked how to do it.

The first material is huge flakes, inside each of which there is a rainbow.

The second material is a film that gives different rainbow reflections from different angles.

Any recommendations and ideas are welcome.

What I got is no good.

Maybe I don't understand something. but this is my first time.
the tone-mapping settings in the framebuffer are reset to default each time then i open my scene. what could be the problem?

i use corona 9, max 2023.1, win10

[Max] Feature Requests / Masks for instance copy

I render RGB masks as well as separate maps for objects and texture maps through CTexmap.

After I configured all the masks. I am making a copy of the object in the instance (for example, for a different angle or position of an object) and all masks need to be recreated.

I thought it might be possible to make some kind of script built into the render elements. or some checkmark will save all configured masks for copies of the object?

I have long wanted to talk about a bug. It has been tormenting me since the first versions of the Corona.

when the interactive render is turned on, sometimes (but not always) when I did moved light source, then when I want to move it back, I press ctrl + z and the max crashes

If i stop nteractive. and press ctrl + z, then start interactive. all ok

wanted to try a new Corona 4 for caustics. on a free demo license.

the first problem the license reset every time after exiting 3d max.

the second problem is my scene (simple glass bottles, c_sun, c_lights) in the new Corona, the just freezes and crashes.

through a very long selection, I found out that the new Corona simply does not want to work with lights. moreover, these lights are Corona including the sun. if i leave the geometry, add c_environment everything works. As a matter of fact, I turn on one of the Corona Light sources, framebuffer freezes first and then max crashes.

the third problem I could not delete every time the Corona 4 because a dll file was not found in the temp folder.

so I did not see the caustic in my scenes.

Hello. I recorded a video about how to change the orientation of the camera in 3d max. I outlined 3 ways.
Perhaps someone did not know something.

I made a post processing in Photoshop to lighten the problem. on the original render this bug less noticeable.

Yes, I know that there is a light manager program. but to me it does not seem comfortable. because this extra window.
to adjust the light often have to turn on and off lights.
it needs to do a lot of manipulation.

it would be convenient for each Corona Light active bulb icon. when clicked on this icon, the lamp will be switched on or switched off.

during interactive rendering, processor loaded on almost 100%. 3dsmax Autosave thus lasts very long. everything freezes.
If the scene is heavy, it can be very annoy.

maybe you do not use autosave, but to me it seems very useful. it would be great to block autosave during interactive rendering.
