In this redshift tutorial, at 3:48 they're making a light with a texture on it so that it projects the texture on the background wall. How would we go about getting this effect in Corona?

it's possible with textured & fully directional Light material on a plane
but it tends to have soft shadows, is quite noisy and produces lots of fireflies

You can also use a C4D light and apply a C4D material to it. Note that this will not be visible in IR, just the final render.

A plane with an opacity texture, behind it an Corona area light. Mimics the way it works in reality and works with IR.
