From Corona Support - Helpdesk

For bug reports: Mantis - Corona Bug Tracker (there's also C4D section)

For uploading files/scenes: Corona Uploader

Noticed that IR window needs to be closed after changes in Render settings have been made, otherwise errors start to appear.

In short, advised workflow (for now to prevent bugs; if hunting for bugs, disregard the following):
1. create & set a scene (geo, lighting, materials, render settings...)
2. activate IR & refine the scene
3. render away

PS
Where can i read about functions supported in IR?
For example C4D Lights are not rendered in IR while are present in final render.
eg.

nice ;)

In Corona Camera Tag settings under Exposure check Use photographic exposure and enjoy.

1128
Looks like an overlapping geo.
& It doesn't help to have Object manager covered up.
Would you share a scene to check what's wrong with it?

1129
Simply use Exposure in Post within Corona VFB (it will remember the setting & set/sync with the c4d Render settings).
If you use latest daily you can play within Interactive rendering.

To test:
If you got any photography experience you can overwrite with Camera - set as if taking a photograph on a sunny day at the beach or alike.

If you mean the delayed region response when moving, scaling and making new regions... no such mishap here (w7).
Also, materials preview response is normal.

Happened few times like a year ago, fixed by disabling some win.services. Dev. too did something to the code. Got smooth sailing ever since.

Does same happen if you stop winServices (update, defender...)?

Confirming.
Difference check shows mismatch in PNGs (8bit) & EXRs (32bit). Images were exported from VFB & PV. Tested with GIMP & PS.

Note:
Already reported on mantis under issue #2469

check your geo (scale, rotation) if any negative values are used... you'll know what to fix.

Sorry, but I had to do this :D

that would usually be me :)

@inverno69
also, wouldn't mind if you'd add some gloss on that ball... got to show off that mysteriously reflective mind - "fresnel everywhere" ;)
:D

[Max] I need help! / Re: painted metal question
« on: 2017-09-11, 07:37:04 »
:D hahaha... guess i should have left the long explanation... but i'll leave that to someone else or to you... start observing how light flows, reflects, bounces & diffuses over surfaces... as water breaks and creates foam so does the light - imagine showers of caustics
in short
low resolution jpg artifacts (noise) + fast cropwork & dropped shadow (inconsistent disturbance to the eye) + saturated cheap acrylic pink paint (surface isn't glossy, but more rough silky-like) + strong soft falloff lighting (large area light or a cloudy day IBL to lit) + added contrast to enhance the spectacle... & you're hyped ;)

take the image into some editing app and start deconstructing it (think PBR ;) gradually take away albedo/colors, reflections, bumps till you end up with silhouette, outlines... AO or clay alike. In the process you'll start to see the simplicity

Because fine metallic flakes, pigment layer and maybe 5-6 coats of lacquer create an illusion of depth with perfect shine... as if you were looking into the pink ocean, mesmerized by the play of sparkles as you move by... by... bye

Simple pink PBR material with gloss down to 80-70 (more or less) and proper lighting (lights with falloff or grayish studio / cloudy HDRI) should do it.

Yup, PC3-10600R ECC DDR3-1333MHz  should fit. Assuming R stands for registered, but then again, even the price range confirms it. ;)

If in doubt contact your technician/administrator & the seller.

Hmm, I'm not sure i get you?!

1. DOF indicator is the Focus Distance of the Camera Object.
2. You can also select an object to use as Focus Object
or
3. Set (check) Target Object via Target Tag.

"Considering Corona's physical camera properties be aware that DOF blurs up to infinity."
So, for any physically based virtual or real Camera - maximums from the Focus Distance are:
Front > Camera
Rear  > Infinity

You can only control the strength (amount of blur).
In this regard planes as DOF helpers are useless. Yet you can still use what's in C4D to help predicting & imagining a bit better...
... until the integration of IPR (Interactive Preview Render;)
