[C4D] I need help! / Black materials in editor view
« on: 2022-10-31, 10:18:03 »
Hi, I work on C4D R26 on a MBP 2019. Corona Renderer is really a good support in my daily 3D work but since I start using it the material preview in the editor window doesn't show a preview of the materials I use. I tried the suggestion of a poster who said I should CHECK and UNCHECK ---> OVERWRITE PREVIEW PREFERENCES in the MATERIAL DIALOG under PREVIEW. Nothing happens in my editor view. This was 2017 - does anybody solve this problem? Thanks

Hi, I'm working with the newest C4D version R26 on an MBP and with Corona Renderer Version 8 (Hotfix 1). Since I'm working with Corona Renderer I'm searching for a possibility to avoid the black (nothing) appearance of all the Corona materials in the viewport. Is there a chance to fix it or a workaround? Thanks

Thank you TomG for this advice. So I don't need to search for any products...

Maybe I have to be satisfied with the performance of my MBP and even be happy about all the other advantages of it. When it comes to hires renderings or animation then I will outsource my files to a render farm.

Thanks to all

[C4D] General Discussion / MBP 2019 2,4 Ghz + C4D + eGPU

Hi,

I'm working on an MBP 2019 2,4 GHz 8-Core Intel Core i9 / 32 GB 2667 MHz DDR4 / AMD Radeon Pro 5500M 8 GB Intel UHD Graphics 630 1536 MB.

+ C4D R24
+ newest Corona Renderer

To be honest I was expecting more then I get now. So I’m considering to tune my MBP a little bit. But I even know that my MBPs config is not really expandable. So is there a way to get a bit more power for rendering jobs? I heart that there are extern GPUs on the market. Maybe someone can help?

Cheers, Alex
