Hi Don Rogers,

For a small-mid size company like yours I highly recommend the Pulze Scene Manger and Render Manager combination!

Scene Manager can handle all the different lightmix setups and you can send them to batch render within a few clicks.

Render Manager is the first dedicated farm manager for the Archviz industry. It is extremely user friendly and all the functions are streamlined for Artists not for micromanagement geeks so it is easy to introduce throughout the office. (Yes, of course you can render tiled CXR)

Hello Bobbysmith05,

Please let me recommend that you try out Pulze Render Manager. It automatically handles the distributed jobs in Corona so you do not have to spend time on setting up the system. On top of that in this case it notifies you that the nodes have a license issue. So it is not just a time saver in daily production but also an IT maintenance tool as well.

For more info check the tutorial series:

Pulze scene manager allows this, but only for animations, meaning 1+ frames, which is very annoying. Can't use it for single frames

In the updated version of Scene Manger there will be a Time Output card. It will solve your problem. It will be available in the same time as the new Render Manager.

@JoachimArt: Thank you for your kind words :)

I demoed this too recently and I liked the simplicity but as far as I could tell you couldn’t template it or batch submit to farm so I looked elsewhere and discovered Vexus. It’s way more powerful and as simple/complex as you make it.

The reason behind this temporary limitation is that the Pulze Scene Manager working together with the Pulze Render Manger, the first render manager software dedicated to Archviz. You can apply for the closed beta and it will be released officially soon. https://pulze.io/products/render-manager
Give it a try and let us know what do you think!

However, I have noticed a strange behavior for the last days in the complex scene we are working right now (since we installed Corona 5 RC2, but not sure if it´s related), pulze suddenly stops working after batch rendering, it remains there, as it was ok, but it doesn´t work at all. I´m not sure how to contact pulze to ask for help, for this and for a strange behavior with Sun+Sky(in 3DsMAX environment) that we are suffering.
We were not able to replicate this malfunction. I would like to kindly ask you to contact with us via mail: info@pulze.io or on Facebook.

Oh man, please don´t ask me about that, it really drives me mad! First time I noticed it I was trying to set up some cameras in Pulze under a rush to render overnight and submit next morning, and it was like "oh my... what the heck??? What is happening? How I ended up with a "HDRiForCam03_Env_Env_Env_Env???" :-D
We had a deep conversation with Juraj and we agreed on that this function should be reconsidered. Once the Render Manager will be released we will investigate further this topic!

Hi,

We would like to create a before render script that loads in the chosen predefined setup to the post process config of VFB. In this way we would be able to apply LUT, Tone mapping, bloom etc in one round per camera in batch render. I know that all of these can be handled in render settings but ideally it would be nice to just load in our existing setups by script.
I would like to kindly request a direct access to the post process config via Maxscript.
Thanks in advance,
Attila

Thank you!
@Njen: Yes, you are right it is simpler from scratch but we would like to use the existing post process setups within one click. :)
@Christa Noel: Thanks you for your advise! Yes, we can read out the conf file and feed back the info into the render setting for sure. I just hoped that there is a direct way. Feature request than...

If you are working with one file I recommend to try out Pulze Scene Manager. It handles layers, lights, outputs per camera and batch render them easily with a few click. It is in open beta so you can download it from: https://pulze.io/
If you would like to manage render jobs easily you have to wait till end of august. Then the open beta of the Pulze Render Manager will be released ;)
