Hello,
i have a question for the Corona Developers.
I am Blender user (migrated from 3dsmax) and I would like to know if there are any news about the Corona Standalone for Linux.
Thank you in advance

Development of Corona for Linux hasn't been started yet, no other news/roadmap available right now. :(
I've just heard from the dev team that Corona for Linux is in an advanced development phase. Stay tuned for further info.

Hi,
thanks a lot for you kind reply and information.
Blender is getting more and more popular among arch viz artists and I work with my colleagues on implementation
of Blender/Corona/Cycles in commercial production. I do already lot of projects with Blender/Corona and it would be great to have it all on Linux one day :)
There are lot of us who are refugees from Max/Windows.
best regards

Hi,
thanks a lot for great news :)
That is really awesome. I have read once, that Ondra said, that there is a plan for Linux version, but since that, I didn't find any further info.
Good luck and best wishes

Hi Maru,
Any update on the Linux/Linux Standalone version of Corona? We are using AWS with Windows and Corona, but the cost is pretty steep - running a Linux instance would be 4x cheaper.
Thanks.

First proof of the Linux version.

AMAZING! Now standalone gets highly interesting again!
Good Luck

Sorry to disappoint you, but it is still too early to talk about any publicly available test version. We are working on it internally, and once it is out, we will definitely announce it through our social media channels.

+1 for the Linux version
