[ARCHICAD] Feature Requests / Re: Camera Clipping Plane
« on: 2018-11-23, 09:24:10 »
The feature has been implemented, I will release an updated version later today.

@PROH: You can access this feature in Corona for 3ds Max in the "Environment & Clipping" panel of the Corona Camera object, in the "Camera clipping" groupbox.

Yes, that makes sense, thanks for the clarification! However, I'm afraid that GDL elements cannot modify the infobox, but the Corona light should at least support the intensity percentage and color value that are already available.

Ok, this should be very easy to add, I will add this feature to the next version, which should come tomorrow.

Thank you for the bug report and for the detailed information! I encountered similar issues and I made a fix that may solve the problem for you. I will let you know when I release the updated version, which should happen tomorrow.

Hi, thank you for the bug report. This is probably the same problem as https://forum.corona-renderer.com/index.php?topic=22488.0, but thank you for the screenshot! I've managed to fix the bug, the updated version of the plugin should be released on Friday.

Hi Jessica, thank you very much for your project file! I've downloaded it and I'm now playing with the project to see what is going on. For some reason, both CineRender and Corona are very slow on this project, so it may take some time. I will get back to you when I make some progress.

Hi, thank you very much for your bug report! I'm not sure I understand the problem fully. Can you please send a screenshot or a short video that shows the bug, or a detailed description of the steps that lead to the bug?

The problem with bad rendering of the textures in 2D trees has been fixed, the updated version will be released hopefully tomorrow.

Ah, now I see what you mean. You can move the target point to change the pitch and yaw of the light, but there is currently no way to change the roll. I will add a gizmo similar to the one used by Corona Proxy. Thank you very much for the suggestion, I shall let you know when there is an update!

Hi, thank you for posting!

Corona should already support CineRender lights with IES files; if they don't render or render differently from CineRender, it is a bug. Can you please provide more details about your scene, what exact lights you used, so that I can reproduce the problem? It would be best if you could send me your project file, perhaps using our private uploader.

And just a quick note: Corona is also CPU based (but still very fast!).

43
I've implemented some of the smaller features that were requested:

  • Ambient texture has been added
  • Wireframe texture has been added
  • Materials can now be marked as portals. This is a quick fix, we may opt in to use a dedicated Corona Portal element instead of a material option in the future.

I hope we will release an updated version by the end of the week.

Just to make sure I understand you correctly, you want to be able to define a plane so that everything on one side of the plane is invisible from the camera, but otherwise stays in the scene and casts shadows and affects global illumination?

Hi, I'm not sure I understand you. Can you please describe in more detail what you mean?
