this is a scene where a surface with light material is behind glass. the light material has a 0.5 directionality. the light looks black when it's behind the glass, why is that? anyone encountered that before? I'm using Corona 4 Hotfix 1

thank you all

Hi! A known issue - the Prevent Black Appearance for lights does not work when viewed through reflections or refractions, only for when viewed directly. The solution is to create two light sources, the one you have already to cast light into the scene (but switch it to be invisible in reflections, refractions, to the camera), and then a second light source that does not emit light, is visible to everything, and has no directionality (you can use geometry painted with a CoronaLight material too).

It would be great to fix :) Hopefully one day for sure - it is non-trivial to fix though, which is why it's handy to have a workaround in the meantime until the day it does get fixed!
