Hey there!
I've just bought a new computer with an AMD Ryzen Threadripper pro 5995wx 64 cores.
When rendering a scene I see 3ds max usses only 65% of CPU...
Is there a reason it doesn't use 100%? I can't seem to find how many cores 3ds Max uses to render with Corona Renderer.

Does anyone know?
Thanks

What Corona version do you use? It could be that your version has some performance bugs. Go to Corona download page and make sure that you have the latest available version: https://corona-renderer.com/download

Thanks for the speedy reply!
I'm already rendering with the latest Corona version, Version 10 (Hotfix2).
Is there a limit of Cores Corona uses of should it be able to use all 64 Cores?

Thanks

AFAIK there are no limits in Corona for maximum core counts, but it might be that your Windows version is the limiting factor, or something else, i'm not expert in these topics. I suggest you to ask about that in this topic: https://forum.corona-renderer.com/index.php?topic=21416.0 maybe someone will know the answer.

Corona doesn't have any core or thread limit, but other software might have it, for example Windows. Which version of Windows are you using? I would definitely recommend Windows 11 Pro with all available updates. Windows 10 and Windows 11 Home only support up to 64 cores.

We have benchmark results from users with 64 and more cores: https://benchmark.chaos.com/corona/v10/scores?index=1&order=desc&by=rays&my-scores-only=false

Hi! Can we ask for a copy of your scene please? This is more important than usual, for us to dive into checking into this issue, so if there is any way it can be shared, please do. You can open a ticket and attach the scene there via https://support.chaos.com/requests/new (include a link to this forum thread in the ticket, and give us the ticket number here, if you would be so kind). Thanks!
