Not sure if this is a stand-alone, or an add-on to X-Particles. Looks amazing either way. Curious how this might work with Corona Render.

Can't see why Corona wouldn't work here ;) Give it a go!

problem is one cant buy the plugin, only a bundle with many plugins, which is very costly (more than 2x corona price).

i think i woudl like this plant generator if it was sold as single plugin, like for 150.- or 200.- it might be ok i think (800 for the bundle is a bit much),
from features it looks very nice

I've been looking at the Insydium collection (Fused) and I really like the look of X-particles and the liquid simulation - xpFluid and xpOcean etc. They don't specifically mention Corona but they do Octane and Redshift. Do any of you guys use Insydiium's plugins and does everything work well or are there work around? Taiao looks great too. Any feed back welcome.

Particles don't work natively but all their otehr stuff is just surfaces you can attach materials to so no problems. I subscribed to Fused for a year when it came out but stopped in the end as I already had a permanent X-Particles license and the other stuff is not that practical for me or just rebranded Merk plugins (I think). It's way too expensive to justify when I'll only use one or two parts of it. I only subscribed as I thought the landscape generator was cool, and it was, kind of... but there are tons of them out there and others are better. Nowadays I just use displaced planes :-).

For me, same goes for the plant generator; unless you have a specific use case then it's much cheaper/faster/easier to just get some ready-made plants and use them. If you want to animate them growing then yes, it looks very cool and I'm sure it will work with Corona. Don't forget Forester from 3DQuakers also grows really nice plants and trees and has a library of both.

Horses for courses I guess...
