Title: Corona Framebuffer - Why is "Beauty" frame standard when rendering?
Post by: danielhagene on 2020-10-22, 15:12:57
Why is "Beauty" the new standard frame shown in the framebuffer? Before Corona 6 it would always show "LightMix" whenever I would render.

The beauty pass is irrelevant when I have a lightmix, and because it was the standard in previous versions, my brain assumes that I'm looking at the right image.
On two projects I've managed to save out the beauty pass instead of the lightmix, and then closed the file only to realize the mistake in photoshop....

Is this a "bug" or intentional? Or can I change it somewhere in the settings?

We'll double check this, thanks for reporting.

I’ve noticed this behavior with CIE, too.  Always a little confusing, especially when opening old projects.

What did the check reveal? Seems so random to implement something like this....

Sorry for the delay.

The check revealed that this is indeed true, and this is now reported to our devs. I am not 100% sure, but I don't think it was a decision, but rather a side-effect of something else, which we missed.
