Hi all.

Is there any way to only have bloom and glare render as an element and not baked into final image?

We render as 16bit (with alpha) tiffs.

Thanks

Did you check render elements list? It has dedicated bloom and glare shading element.

Hi.

Sorry, I should have explained in more detail.

When we render statics and animations we render the full colour image & also render additional reflect, refract etc etc etc.

We use the reflect & refract elements in addition to what's rendered on the main image.

As with reflect & refract, bloom & glare is also rendered on the main image & the b&g element is just that pass on its own.

Is it possible to NOT have the b&g rendered on the main image and only as an element?  If so, it'd mean that b&g can be used only when wanted.

---

I assume the only way to have this option is to render all passes (incl beauty etc) as elements so they can be layered together.

Hope that makes more sense

You can add a Virtual Beauty render element, and uncheck bloom and glare - that way you get the main Beauty with B&G baked in, but a second one that doesn't have B&G.
