when will hair and fur work properly? The hair and fur in corona render looks very bad. Will corona render developers solve this problem? Or will everything remain as it is?

Can you show example of "very bad" hair and fur rendered in Corona?

Hello,

I like how hair and fur it's rendered with Corona, but it's SO slow. Is it the same with other render engines?
I'm thinking not using it anymore and use a scattering solution instead.

It's simple: if we don't know what exactly the problem is, then it will remain as it is. ;)

I may be wrong, but I think 3ds Max H&F is single-threaded (like most/all od 3ds Max stuff). If you try other plugins like Ornatrix or Hairfarm, you will be shocked with the speed difference (of the ui, hair generation and updates, parsing, and rendering).

Great to know. Thanks. I hope it's affordable.

Well, personally, the H&F itself is AWFUL.
It's the same since 2008.
Vray has the vrayfur that works sweet. Fast, easy, great result. Corona should have his own fur as well.
Honestly, on works with hairy rug or any fur at all, I just choose to use Vray instead.
Besides that, the "problem" if you want one, is the shader. Users need to use some sketchy techniques to make a simple texture to work on fur and model at the same time.
Also waiting to get a corona fur solution but looks like developers aren't even thinking about it

How about V-Ray fur support in Corona then? Sounds reasonable?

In that case, would you need a vray license to be able to use vrayfur? Or the demo would do?
