Corona Version 2017-01-11
3ds Max Version 2016

Bitmaps are working when rendering in DR-Mode or local. Whe using Backburner bitmaps are not rendered. The same on the local workstation used as backburner-server.
Verified on 2 different workstations.

Tryed in corana 2016-12-13 - everything works fine.

Yes, that was my first idea, but in the scene are a lot of materials to change, so this would al lot of work. But it can be the technical background for the "render selected for compositing-feature" ;) Hey Ondra ;)

Mblur is rendered, but if this would be the only problem i would add it in post.

Hey romullus,

the problem with the shadowcatcher material is, that the cars are reflecting the tunnel materials. If i change the material of the tunnel, here to shadowcatcher, the cars are not reflecting anything. The only workaround here, is to use the rendered image of the tunnel as backgroundimage for the shadowcatcher. This would be fine for the time the cars are in the tunnel, but later in the animation the cars are outside where many tress, houses etc. are narrow to the street.  A solution line "render selected for compositing" would be realy nice. ;)

Hello,

i need to render out an animation of a tunnel/street. The first rendering is with cars an the second rendering should be the cars only. Then it could be composite in fusion later.
I am new to compositing. My goal is to save rendertime, if the ainmation of the cars would be changing, i am only rendering my cars new.

So here are my steps so far:
1. rendering out the scene without cars (in Elements for later compositing)
2. Rendering the cars only with "Render selected"
3. Layering in Fusion

When i use "Render selected" the cars and the alpha-Channel are good, but the shadows from the cars are not in there. Is there a way to get a pass with full materials and refelctions (like "Render selected") + Shadows of the selected Objects?

if i use one object  with the "Mankua Stress" texturemap and hit render, max crashes. 
In scanline Renderer it works.

We bought it and it is great! Very high detailed models with superior materials (yepp, especialy for corona too ;) ), for a great price.

In general there are many printers out there that produce fine results. For colors its a matter of matching your screen to the printeroutput. I personaly prefer inkjet before laser, becouse of saturation. The fine nuances in green in example doesnt outcome so good on a laserprinter. I can only speak for our machine (Kyocera 3050ci).

That´s not true .... only before you restart max ;). After a restart the given value (i.e. 0,9954) is not roundet to 0,99 even more.

Yes, thats what i have done ;). if i wrote 0,995 it always corrects it to 0,99. The spinners are not so important, but the rounding of numbers.
Try to give an coranamaterial a glossines 0,995 and you´ll see the result.

Increasing the precision of 3ds max's spinners doesnt have any effect in Coronamaterial. Now i have a solid colormap with 254,254,254 in the map-slot, but this is still to much of glossines.

Is there a way to fine-tune the glossiness in Coronamaterial? The value of 0,99 gives me a bit to much glossiness and the next possible value is 1,0.  Now i controlled the value via map. In this case you have 255 steps for glossiness. To have 3 digits to define the value (i.e. 0,995) would be great.
