Please, learn the 3DsMax basics, and then try Corona, Vray, whatever...!!!
Go for Corona without the 3DsMax basics, it's like to try to ride a car without steering wheel...!!!

Anyway, select the ligth and in the properties tab under "general parameters" pick "corona shadows"
