Hello everyone.
So I've got this problem with opacity.I've tried to look for the solution here but without success.
Leaf material on this tree is a converted vray mat.Opacity map is a bw jpg.In the material editor everything seems to be ok but when rendering, opacity map just doesnt do the job.

My guess is that your uv map doesn't fit in 0-1 space and since you unticked Tile checkboxes in bitmap's coordinates rollout - you got what you got.

Possible solution: fit uv map to 0-1 space and use cropping in bitmap's parameter rollout instead.

romullus got it! If you look closely, your leafs are transparent in the middle "map-sized rectangle", but not outside. Just set the opacity color to black (the one above the absorption parameters) and it should be fine. It's taking this color for everything not covered by your bitmap.
Any sufficiently advanced bug is indistinguishable from a feature.
