Hello

I am looking for a solution to add a fade to the slicer but I can't find it. In the cap material I have linked with a shader that has a driven opacity via a distance shader. But I don't know if this is the way to go.

I specify that I really want to use the slicer because we can add several objects in it

The slicer doesn't support fading, sorry. You would have to add a Distance map to the opacity for all the materials being that need to have this faded "cut", then use any object (not a slicer) as the Distance From, if I am understanding what you want to do correctly.

thank you for your feedback. you have understood the idea well
If you run out of ideas in the future you can add it.
Like the osl parallax shader which would be a must have as well as the edge trimming in the corona scatter ;)
