Hi all,

We recently updated all our computers to Corona 8 and then discovered that all our scenes created in R19 and containing old camera tags crash on load with Corona 8. So now all of our old projects will crash in Corona 8 and will not load. This is a drawback because we very often need to open older scenes. It would be helpful if some kind of compatibility with older camera tags is implemented.

We provide a template scene containing the crashing camera tags.

Thanks.

I think something similar happened to me too, in the middle of a thight deadline (I know, silly me to update but I really wanted to take advantage of proxies and scatter).
The file went corrupt (incorrect file structure) and upon opening it for recover (win: create C4D shortcut - shortcut Properties - modify Shortcut Target adding a space and then -loadcorruptscenes),all the Cameras where missing (?).
Unfortunately the recovered scene was unusable but I managed to open the corrupt file and save it in R24 where I had not updated Corona, from there I had to redo all of the scatters and the cameras back in R25.
Thing is, I had another corrupt file "incorrect file structure" on the same project after a while and I really think that in this case the Camera Tag was added in Corona 8. Anyway, I'm working in panic mode since :( .

Only removing corona of the plugin folder, opening the scene without corona and deleting the camera tags seemed to work for us. Then putting back corona in the plugin folder and opening the scene again and creating new camera tags. But this is a tedious process if you have to do it with every scene you open. This is why we will stick to Corona 7 until developers implement some kind of compatibility with older camera tags.

Hope this helps!
