Hello Guys,

I hope a summary of the problems encountered and those known and still "present" can be useful, for me they are in the 2024 version (latest release) of both Cinema4D and Corona:

- coronapattern doesn't work in symmetry
- render instances are not displayed in the interactive
- the VFB corona camera is not synchronized with the active camera (problem already presented more than a month ago... where are we at?)
- corona materials often lose connections with textures present in the asset database.
- the corona proxies if used in the scatter are not displayed in full mode but only in box mode (if I deactivate the scatter set in full view, the proxy which is also set in full view is displayed again).
- biblical render times and low rays compared to previous versions (test already largely consolidated in previous posts of the empty room) and also compared to the same scene loaded in 3dsmax.. where are we with the known problems on AMD Threadripper and 7950x series?
- the crown tile is not displayed correctly in preview if this is set to world coordinates.
- corona lights do not work in mograph cloners as render instances but only as instances
- some materials from cosmos corona return message "Required V-Ray and Advantage"... emm i'm in corona not v-ray

Hi Guys, is it normal that in a simple scene which is optimized at 92%, in a computer with 7950x 192GB of RAM and an nvme m.2 gen4 ssd.. it has so few rays 2,5 million rays?
Nowadays even on simple scenes it's like this, when I remember before I even reached 40/60 million rays

Hello Guys i need your help,

I don't know if I'm doing something wrong but I have two problems with the tile shader:
- by placing it in the displacement, the tile shader provides jagged edges
- inserting it into the bump doesn't work, it doesn't feel the weight of the bump at all

Hi Guys,
given that I have a 7950X with 192GB of RAM, but I don't understand how it is possible that a simple scene takes so long to reach 5% noise.
The scene is that of the academy, and I inserted a sofa taken from cosmos and the Wall Paint material following the video (only normal map and no displacement), a simple Sky with Sun.

Corona 11 release, Cinema 2024.1.0, Windows 11
6 minutes to render a scene with nothing at 1600x900.. how is this possible????

Hi guys, some info.. I receive the warning message that all the materials have been migrated but the "Material Library" materials are not present in the "Cosmos Browser".

Example: CarPaint, Ceramic, Foam, Glass, Plastic, Rubber, etc.. are all empty, while the Fur folder is actually missing.

but corona in c4d there are no more updates? Any problems?
The roadmap is practically at a standstill and the last update (exception of compatibility for 2024) dates back to July 11, where the processes are all at zero or almost zero of those set.
As usual 3dsmax let the updates gallop and there is starting to be a big gap between the two "platforms"

can someone explain to me why the cryptomatte comes out jagged?
I attach the image of what I get despite the noise being at 3%, official version 10 of corona.

out of curiosity I did a comparison test between the C4D and MAX render engine and I noticed some really substantial differences on which I ask for your opinion (same scene, model, render settings, light, same camera parameters, materials, etc. etc.. scenes perfectly identical in all respects):

- render times are significantly reduced in 3DS Max, from 95 seconds to 72 seconds ... Corona in 3DS Max is 25% (and more) faster than C4D.
- the rendering of shadows and lights is totally different, in 3DS Max the light bounces are much more calibrated and even inside the rooms a completely better light reaches.

Can anyone explain to me why this is all happening?

When will corona's native slot for inserting parallax OSL maps be available?

Hi guys,
I need your great help and advice!!!

What is the best solution/way to recreate a situation like the one in the photo (large dimensions, beach of at least 1/2km)?
All the strategies I'm adopting always lead to repetitions that can be seen from a distance or to poor quality up close.. in summary I have to create:
- infinite ocean (corona c4d doesn't accept the infinite plan)
- waves and water material for the ocean (the big problem is to find the solution that simulates a light wave on the shore and calm offshore)
- ocean floor (it is a very large seabed and I can't recreate it out)
- foam (to give that touch of reality to the image)
- wet and dry sand (wet smooth effect and dry rough effect, without this situation it looks super fake)

[C4D] I need help! / Physical black material appears white

Hello guys,
i don't know if i'm doing something wrong but how come in a 100% black material with 100% roughness (therefore not reflective), the result is a white material under a hdri day light.
If instead I use a legacy material that is always 100% dark, this appears black.. as it should be I think.
