Another question, is the render much more slower without SSE4?

Cheers.

BTW. I want to explain why I did this question, I read somewhere that SSE 4.2 supoort was needed for Corona (oviously I missunderstood it)

Why did I read that?

Is there some specific feature that needs SSE 4.2 to have full speed?

Cheers.

Awesome!!!

Thanks! to all :)

Hi there.

I looked for that info, and I found something, but I'm a bit lost and unsure.

What are the supported CPU's by Corona?

I have a renderfam where I have different CPU's, core2quad q6600, xeon 3545, xeon 5545 and amd X6 1090t.

Can I render with my farm in all this CPU's?

Just to be clear, I'm not asking about distribute render, I'm asking about Backburner render.

Cheers.

Hi there.

I found a problem with Corona Sun, if I place the sun in a layer and I hide the layer, the sun dissappears from the render, it has to be visible to be rendeable, it happens also when it's rendeable.

Corona Build: Mar 7 2014 00:05:09

Corona Renderer Alpha 4 benchmark scene
 Living room 100 passes
Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-2600K CPU @ 3.40GHz OCd @ 4.50GHZ
Time: 0:4:39, Rays/s: 4,551,730

Pretty good performance, I wish I could upgrade to a 3930K :P but stucked at socket 1155 for the time being.

Cheers.

I've used HD+HD for a exterior

Is this not good?

I saw a small artifact (similar to what vray can produce) in the video, I'll post it as soon as I have a bit of time so you can see what I'm talking about.
But so far I'm very happy with that combination, other small problem are small sparks in the glass borders.

To advance my times, in a 2600k at 4.2 when rendering, I get 8-10min / frame at 1920x1080, very good times for that quality.

Cheers.

Chaos Corona for Maya - Bugs / Re: mayaToCorona Bugs
« on: 2014-03-04, 10:16:23 »
Haggianother bug I found.

The previous rendered images are not present in the renderview.

If you render a scene and after that render launch another render, and then you go back to see the previous render, that previous render is black.

Cheers.

Cool model.

I want to suggest a variation for things like fabrics, and another one for things like thin layer objects (tree leaves)

In the end, a plane for the leaves and the same object with a cloth simulation over it with some wrinkles to see the anisotropic effect.

Cheers.

I hope that question is not for me because I don't have a clue hehehe

I was just sepaking my thoughts loud, and since Corona have Corona Scatter, maybe this is something from the inside :)

Glad you like the idea.

Cheers.
