[Max] I need help! / Perfectly white background

Hello,

So im trying to do a "furniture spin animation", which means a simple piece of furniture being rendered for 15 frames while spinning around on a white plane
However, because of the HDRI that im using, the background is grey and not white, which would normally not be a problem since i would mask it in photoshop, but since theres so many renders, it will be time consuming.

So how can i remove the plane that the furniture is on from the renders, while still keeping the shadows that are being cast on it?
Also, is there a way to turn the HDRI invisible to the camera? to keep it affecting the object while not appearing at all in the render?

Hello,

Is there any way to get more light inside that small area market on the photo?
The scene has only a HDRI and some IES, and as in real life, there is no light pointing directly into that area, but i still think that is out of the context with that shade of black.
So is there any way to get more light there without adding extra artificial lights?

Hardware / A new PC for Corona

Hi,

Since recently i start working exclusively with Corona, ive decided to buy a second PC just for renders.
Unfortunately this is a low budget PC, so i seek for advice in order to get something as good as possible since i am totally clueless about PCs.

The budget is 1300 eu ( ~ 1400+ usd ), the market is eastern Europe.
Unfortunately i don't plan to upgrade it any time soon so this is all i got for now.

I've recently decided to give it a try and learn Corona, so for the next months(?) i will concentrate my efforts on learning as much as i can.
I have average experience with 3DS max and Vray ( the software that i am planning to replace ), but i will not give up on Corona until i manage to learn it on a satisfying level.

I made this thread ( hopefully i didn't break any rules ) in order to have a place to ask various questions that i might come across.
I have already read most of the official tutorials and some other threads around here, but there are things that i could not figure out so i might need some help.


Question 1:

This is my first time i render something in Corona, and for some reason my image has a lot of noise.
I already added the direct and indirect passes like in the tutorial, but they both very noisy and i cant figure out why. ( i haven't saved them )
I am using a HRDI for the environment, corona sun, and portal lights on the windows.
So i would like to know, if this noise is because of the lack of light/bounces, or because of the settings, and how can i fix it?

PS: I did manage to get most of the noise out in a small resolution image, but it took around 9 hours or so ( is that normal?, m i doing something wrong? )
