New railclone version has many cool features such as uvxform operator, which unfortunatelly fully works with Vray only. Other renderers must sacrifice instancing in order to use those features. That makes impossible to use it in massive scenes. Is it possible to improve Corona instancing to make it work with new railclone features?

I'm sure there's more users that supports that request :]

Help! After installing 6.1 alpha stopped working converter. Where can I download a later version of the crown converter with support for alpha 6.1.

[note: Starting with Corona A6, this script is bundled and installed with the main Corona plugin into the 3dsmax scripts directory]

Look at your max script folder, there should be "CoronaConverter_v0.xx.ms"

Build apr 16

Max becomes very slugish on regular rendering. VFB doesn't update for several seconds, max often fails to redraw windows (everything becomes white). Interactive is quite laggy too, but it doesn't feels very smooth in a several recent builds though. This is all hapenning with very simple scene.

Will try to revert to previous build, to check if it's not may pc, windows or max's fault.

Edit: just tried apr 08 build and it's a lot smoother.

Decided to revisit my galvanized steel material. I managed to significantlly simplify material tree (from 8 procedural maps down to 3) yet leaving same visual appearance.

This is brand new shiny steel mat. Next will be aged/oxidized one.

I wonder is there a reason to save in full float ever? No matter how hard i tried to find a difference between HF and FF, i couldn't find one, except file size. Even when there's sun directly visible.

Also i was surprized that there's a big difference at what exposure file is saved in 32bit. I always thought it is no matter.

Maybe, but it does so via vertex colours. That is somehow limiting.

Now, when they added support for Corona, it's worth to have this one in collection. Geomaps - very handy maps for geometry based shading.

And i found maybe a bug.
After render region when you turn back to View from max frame buffer and when you press Render - corona give you Error creating File output. (I did't use that option in this file)
After re-open the scene all is working.
Could you please report it in bugs section. With simple scene where that bug appears attached, if possible.

Unfortunatelly you can't do pretty much anything with demo, it's extremelly limited. Although i found a way to sort a "hack" it via color correction map, but didn't have time to play with it much. But it sure looks worth attention.
