Hello! I've recently got a problem with Corona 6 installation to 3ds max 2022. Installation windows shows me some issues and I don't get it. I deleted everything manually before. I had Corona 6 for a 45 days, then I got another license and now I had to reinstall it because 3ds max could't open the Corona Converter, it gave me another warning window saying it's unabled to run Corona Convertor. "Unexpectedly failed to get 3ds Max installation directory". I am so devastated. I was advised to reinstall Corona and activate it again, but I got this message during the installation process. When I ran 3ds max, I've notices it cannot detect Corona in Renderer rollout.

Check all output paths, including those for render elements, are correctly set to existing directories. Misconfigured paths can lead to errors.

Check if the file paths and names contain only English characters, as non-English characters can cause input/output errors.

If saving files to a network drive, check that you have the necessary write permissions and that the network connection is stable.

Some of such errors are from known 3ds Max bugs that add non-existent paths to render elements. check your render elements and delete or correct any invalid output paths using the Asset Tracker (Shift+T).

I was able to reproduce this behavior on my end and have logged it in our system as a feature request as many operations in corona color correct does not support negative values from input maps.

Were those models imported some somewhere or modelled from scratch? Could it be the crash was caused by the corrupted geometry itself which you may have imported in the 3ds max?

I was able to reproduce this issue on my end and have logged it in our system to be further reviewed by our devs. Meanwhile, try to use Chaos Scatter if you can.

a troubleshooting step you can try meanwhile is to reset your ENU folder to see if that fixes the issue for you.

Can you test this with Corona 13 daily build. It seems there were some fixes related to this.

which version of corona and 3ds max you used in this scene? did you change versions or color management settings in your 3ds max?
