I noticed i strange thing about dof, sightly blurred areas have sharp glossy reflections for examle this image below.

Area in the bottom and area on the top(less notisible reflections on the celeng lamp)

May be, actualy i do not know if is this phisicaly correct or just some sort of black magic. But it some how looks wrong X_X

Simple thought experiment:


Imagine that the amount of depth of field blur was just based on whether or not the reflective or refractive surface was in focus, then how would a camera lens work? If focus was on the front glass element of the camera itself, then everything would be in focus, and if focus was anywhere else, then everything would be out of focus.
