Corona high quality denoiser. CPU not overclocked and not overheating. Never did.
If I hit cancel before the denoise finishes, then it doesn`t crash.

Thanks for clarifying, is it possible to share an archive of your scene with us to investigate if it's scene related?

Hi, no. It happens with every scene. Plus our scenes are under NDA, can`t be shared. Sorry. As I said, Corona 8 is stable....until it finishes denoising and starts "cleaning up" it crashes at that last phase after denoising and cleaning up the whatevers after rendering.

Is Bloom & Glare enabled by any chance?

No its not.

Hi everyone,
My problem started after installing Corona 8. Everytime after a render is finished and the denoiser gets to the final step, max crashes. I can still save the images from Corona VFB and also it saves a recovery file but its annoying to start max and reload the scene everytime after a render.
Any thoughts on this? Im using 64 gb ram, have at least 500 GB cache and a Ryzen 9. No dump file though.

Thanks a bunch

Wow...love the fact that they bump up the monthly price to 40EUR from 25EUR and ONLY DISCOUNT 10 EUR on a yearly 290 EUR subscription....where is that fair???
So if I pay monthly for 1 year I pay 180 EUR EXTRA than what I am paying now.....but only save 10 EUR if I pay yearly?
I don`t see how that is good for us customers? You guys really need to rethink your pricing. Don`t go down the Vray route....lot of us switched because Vray is overpriced.

Cheers

Happens with mine too! Instantly closes everything, no dump, no autosave and just disappears.
Any solution so far?

7
Sorry, yes its version 6 Hotfix 1. There is NO minidump. Everything just disappears, no warning, no autosave, no error message.

Hi everyone, this week MAX 2018 and the latest Corona renderer started doing this weird thing that it didn`t do before.
After I render a couple images and let it denoise, after the 6th or 7th render after the 3/3 denoise pass, corona just kicks the bucket and MAX crashes, NO warning, NO autosave, NO backup, not even an error message. It just disappears.
Im guessing memory issue, but with 64gb ram and 100GB cache space its a bit weird. And why didn`t it do it before? I rendered bigger scenes that took longer without a hitch.
It started on the weekend and it is driving me insane. Im back to saving before rendering again.

Any hotfix coming out? Or anyone experience this issue? Before it crashed on reseting max and opening a new scene OR when i saved a scene and opened another one.  But then it gave error.
Now nothing. Just poof....vanishes.

The ability to select denoise mode on materials with bump map, right now I have to use a paid plugin denoiser in ADOBE PREMIERE to get rid of the noise corona cant get rid
of with the built in denoiser no matter how high I push the settings.
Please fix this as sometimes in archviz we need to use quick turnarounds and denoiser is perfect for this but this problem with some parts denoise and are nice and smooth, some other parts are noisy as heck. Please add this possibility to choose to denoise materials with normals and bump maps enabled no matter what. We will deal with it in Photoshop.
Thanks

Would really like the ability to turn on and off shadow and illumination per object like Vray lights. I had to rerender a scene 3 times to fake a shadow on a product shot, whereas I could`ve just excluded one light from casting shadow, the other from illumination and problem solved.
Thanks

Nobody has a thought? Anyone come across the same thing? I can`t send scene, NDA bound sorry.

Hi everyone,
Just wanted to ask if anyone is having issues with Corona 6 and 3dsmax 2018 sometimes, it just crashes when i reset or open another scene.
usually happens more often if one of the viewport windows are Corona Interactive. I turn it off and then open or reset but crashes almost always.
Sometimes I have to switch the interactive vp back to top or left or any default viewport and then reset and it works.
Im running on a Ryzen 9 with asus geforce 2070 super rtx and 96gb ram. Running newest geforce drivers, thinking it might be vid card issue.
Tried the nvidia studio drivers too, same thing happens. I have Forest Pack installed, Arnold by default (although i don`t know why) and Vray next the latest version.
I have the other renderers because some archviz scenes use vray and I need it to convert them to corona.

Any help would be awesome

Beautiful renders. did you render the DOF in corona or as a post process? whats the method and how many passes per image to get such a smooth noise free image? If this would be animation what is the number of passes for it to look this good ? Lovely backplates too....really well matched.
