Just testing glass + typical studio setup. this rendered very fast btw.
Next I'm going to render it with some wine. Any suggestions for the shader? I suppose the red color goes in to the refraction color, no?

Absorbtion would be a bit more appropriate for wine closeup ;)

yes, for liquids ALWAYS use absorbtion

I did last year one job for a glass manufacture and this is what I come out with.. there´s no postpro, only raw render
Corona brought joy to sad world of 3Ds Max :)

that is a very cool render. I forgot to mention, but my render also as no post. Its a direct render.

I do it this way and always satisfied with result.. It look more natural to me than detaching geometry
