I have a brick wall on which I project a logo with alpha channel flat. Without selection I got horizontal grooves in the wall. With a selection I can fix it. But this limits my free placement. Why are these artefacts created?

Thank you
Peter

This looks like an incorrectly-mapped displacement texture. The displacement is currently taken from the first material in the stack. So in your case that would be the brick wall. Of course, the mapping for the displacement should be the same as for the diffuse texture. Could you send us the scene, so that we could have a look at it? Thanks

I'm getting the same results here, I'll keep in investigating.

Hi there,

I have looked at your file and it looks like a possible bug. When you are scaling the texture with length U etc it is also scaling the displacement, which in this case it shouldn't. The secondary stacked texture should just be able to be repositioned then taking on the displacement below it.
