Hello,

Noticed this bug in the last 2 daily releases v10s.

I download a HDRI from the cosmo browser and it comes as plain white exr, I tried changing the color profile values, intensity, gamma and nothing happens.

I does work to import from local disk my own hdris, it loads up ok. One thing that is worth mention is that Studios HDRI downloaded from cosmo does work as expected.

I'm new to the windows platform and I share my account with a mac version which works ok. Maybe I'm doing something wrong , Idk.

Also having lots of crashes (closing the whole thing) while clicking to render, unfortunely it does not create any bug reports, even cinema doesn't even notice it crashed and doesn't warn anything to report. Also checked the folder for bug zip.

Info:

Latest Windows 11
Latest Cinema 2023.1.3
Latest corona Daily release.

they are usually set so the exposure is right for real world intensity, like sun/sky etc, not for 8 bit preview.

so the "white"/defaulkt exposure, is actually correct and takes a way one extra step in raising the exposure so it fits the expected intesities in lighting.

Exactly. This is expected and as Stefan mentioned. Some do interiors, others do exteriors. It could only be one ;)

I would also take into consideration that being real-world, I believe Corona works better and easier if you enable Photographic Exposure (also disable Simple Exposure). I am an above-average pro-sumer photographer which helps with real-world 3D. If I were to be outside on a bright, sunny day, my camera would be set to 100 ISO, f-13 or higher (darker) and shutter to 1/125 or 1/250.

You could set up a default scene with a camera already set to a typical exposure so when you import a new HDRI, it should be close. I keep saying I'm going to do this, so maybe I'll finally set it up. In fact, you can have an exterior camera with settings for bright and sunny, one for sunset, one for evening, etc. Also a couple set up for interior which may be something like 400 ISO, f-2.8 or lower (brighter) and shutter to 1/60 or 1/30.

There is a way to save that scene to open every time you launch C4D so you're ready to go.
